Technology is changing rapidly, and teachers need to know how to use it.  The most important skills we need to develop using technology is collaboration, creativity, and problem solving.  This can most effectively be accomplished by putting the technology in the hands of the students!

Technology should not be used in isolation.  Integrating technology to teach the skills needed to master the curriculum is interdisciplinary.  Technology should enhance pedagogy and content.

Please watch this 15-minute video where Leigh Wolf interviews Matt Koehler and Punya Mishra from the University of Michigan about TPACK, what it is, how it should be explored.  Pay close attention to the wonderful commercials; they are actually spoofs on popular UPS and Mastercard commercials.  Just a warning, the video is 15 minutes long and a 21 MB download - but very much worth the wait!
