iMovie in the Classroom:

from EdApps.ca

Documentation: Use camera and mic to record student work, conducting experiments, students reading, working in groups, collaborating, playing a game, giving a presentation.

Peer Feedback: Watching in pairs or small groups can become a catalyst for powerful conversations. (Think of it like a coach watching video of plays during a game)

Self Reflection: Students learning to be self aware and provide self-feedback/reflection is highly effective for student growth. Throw in a checklist, rubric or learning goals.

Create Pecha-Kucha Presentations: 20X20 (20 slides/images for 20 seconds each, with oral descriptions)

Story Telling: Students turn learning into digital stories using pictures and video from their camera roll.

Photo Essay: Powerful ways to convey messages through visuals and text. (use iMovie Extras to add text-based slides to iMovie) -- like a documentary
